Energetic empowerments & attunements being offered remotely beginning on April 7th, 2021 6pm4/3/2021 The pandemic has passed its one year anniversary. Coping with the forced isolation it has imposed on us has been the most frequently cited reason for seeking therapy. There also have been many losses to grieve and come to terms with. It has been a very difficult time for all of us. For myself, I had experienced one of the most significant losses one can experience. A few weeks before the nation shut down, I lost my mother, following a prolonged decline in hospice. In addition to that, I was adjusting to living alone, having ended a relationship with my partner of several years. I was quarantining alone, which was quite a challenge. How did I get through that first year in quarantine? My way of coping with the pandemic has been to use it as an intentional "hermitage of the heart", a time to go inwards and attend to my spirit, to heal my heart. This problem turned out to be an opportunity and a blessing, for which I am grateful. I took life affirming remote courses in energy healing and spiritual transformation, which helped me heal and get through all the additional hardships that the pandemic brought. One of the most powerful tools for resilience and transformation I have come across has been contributing, being of service to others. Another has been becoming part of a community whose norms have been different from what I have seen in the media: one focused on unconditional positive regard for all of humanity, stewardship for the earth and all of its creatures, and a commitment to action to work towards personal and global transformation. I have had multiple opportunities to be of service to my local and global community, and am here sharing an upcoming offering. I am pleased to announce, as an Initiated Rite Giver, I will be joining others in offering the Nine Rites of the Munay-ki remotely. My role here will not be therapist or social worker, as this is more personal, more spiritual. In the Quechua language, “Munay” means universal love. “Ki” is from the Japanese word for energy. Together, these words mean energy of love. These rites have been passed down by the paqos, or wisdom keepers of the Q'ero tribe in the high Andes of Peru. These rites have been distilled and simplified for the people of the modern world. These energetic blessings of empowerment open the heart, balance the energy centers of the body, and help bring areas of your life back into balance. (This includes the relationship between the divine masculine and the divine feminine, an area of great interest for me). These medicine teachings have been gifted to the world by the Q'ero, as they believe the world is undergoing a dramatic time of change, the time of "turning over", and they believe the peoples of the western world have become separated from nature and must come back into "ayni" or right relationship with the earth for their survival. It was not created for any particular ethnic or religious group, but is for all people. My teacher Pima Fredy Quispe Singona said, "this is not my tradition, and it is for me. It is not your tradition, and it is for you." A portion of all proceeds is given to our indigenous mentors from the Nation of Q'ero in the region of Cusco, Peru. Led By Celia Blackwood & Initiated Rite Givers Q'ero Guest Teachers will attend whenever possible. Wednesdays 6:00pm-7:30pm MT-AZ starting on April 7th, 2021. Sessions will be held online via ZOOM. Link provided upon registration.
